MacDonald clan had a great day! The girls loved the orienteering- Euan, our instructor used to be a cartographer, so he had lots of techniques and tips. The girls charged about all over the beautiful grounds, matching the points on the map to the clues on fences, on Windows and hidden around about. We saw a mountain hare, a woodpecker and various other unusual species of wildlife! Faye and Niamh won the orienteering, with Hannah and Honour a close second.
After the orienteering the Girls played various trust games, which we all found highly amusing!
This all led in to the nightline course. The girls paired up, one was blindfolded and the other was the guide. They navigated a very tricky course through trees and bushes, up hill, through hoops, under over and around hurdles... All in the snow! Great fun and very challenging.
This afternoon, our whole clan did the zip wire. It was really cold and started to snow which made it all more dramatic - we have lots of photos to show you when we get home tomorrow! Some of the girls were very nervous but still managed to do it- hooray!
After the zip wire it was time for more challenges- the girls are getting really good at working together and listening to each other!
Now they are all ensconced in a very exciting in door campfire... The staff here have been incredibly helpful and have worked really hard to give us a fabulous week...
More from us tomorrow!
