What a day! We have never seen snow like it! It's been April showers- with snow rather than rain! It must have snowed on at least 12 different occasions today, and the Wind has meant the snow has been flying in all directions!
All the groups have had a fabulous day- it's been go-go-go since 7.30am.
Breakfast, activities, lunch, activities, dinner, activities... Everything is exceedingly well organised, and the children are all getting on very well with the instructors...
Clan MacDonald and Miss Rukin have had a very exciting day. S1 girls, S2 girls, Niamh and Ariana, started with the indoor challenges... Involving ropes, paper, ping pong balls, drain pipes and scissors!! Then, they did crate climbing- all the girls made it up to the top of the crates- and all had fun dangling in mid air from the harness when the crates were toppled!!!
In the afternoon, the clan did the movie making challenge. This involved time travel, script writing, stunts, crazy costumes and editing - all before dinner!
Clan Bruce have been very busy today, braving the elements and having a lot of fun. Lewis, Nile, Harry, Luke, Dhillon and Adam G all solved a mystery using orienteering skills- more challenging than usual in horizontal snow! Then, they worked in pairs to complete a ropes course- blind folded! (Again- in exciting weather conditions!)
After lunch, Bruce got to warm up and stay dry, also tackling the movie challenge.
The movies will all be shown at Compass mini Oscars tomorrow night...
After dinner, we spent some time checking all wet clothing is hung up to dry in the drying room.
This evening, the girls are playing games in the Sports hall whilst the boys use the games room for table tennis, table football, pool and final dominoes. In a while, they will all swap. And then- supper!
Good night from Glenshee!
