Before the Easter break, primary 7 were looking at and working with different examples of persuasive writing techniques. We are now putting these skills into practice ourselves, and are going to produce a leaflet about the school aimed at prospective Middle school pupils. Yesterday we brainstormed what we would put in the leaflet, and today pupils were filling their own individual planning sheets. Here they are hard at work! P7 have begun working on designs for a junk modelling project... Watch this space to see their 'junk' inventions unfold! S1/2 were looking at the viewpoint in paintings and how this affects what you see. They focussed on how the depth of an elipse changes depending on the angle of view: P7 have prepared keynotes on their holidays. We had a great afternoon hearing about everyone's adventures. Now we are all ready for a hard working term. All parents should have received letters explaining that this term the boys are fishing and the girls are hiking. All pupils should come prepared for wet weather as we will be outside whatever the weather! Pupils should bring a ruc sac with a drink and snack in, as well as their usual school bag and lunch. If you have any questions please speak to Miss Rukin. Congratulations to Corey for winning Personality of the Year award at the Waterfront Junior Curling Club! |
