S1 used a skin calliper today to measure Mrs Offord's %body fat. It was not good news and she starts on her low fat diet this week!
Some of the candidates for head boy and head girl spoke to the younger year groups in assembly today: In History, Transitus are developing independent learning skills. Today, they are reading about the Agricultural Revolution and answering questions on it. Their homework is to find out what the first tractors looked like and how they were used. Transitus have finished their first history topic. They are working in groups today to see how much they can remember. Any pupils who are coming to the Open Day that are P4 and above should come in full school uniform. Thank you. Pupils in P7 aged 10 before February 2014 will have been given a questionnaire at the start of term. If the relevant parents don't have the questionnaire School Health are going to drop off some blank ones and parents can pick one up from the school office.. On receipt of the questionnaire, it needs to be completed & returned to the school ASAP. Many thanks. S1 are working on extending their answers in history. They are doing an independent learning lesson to give them time to focus deeply on the content. Miss Rukin is helping them one by one, showing how to write more by referring specifically to the source content. A great hard working lesson! |
