P7 have been learning about how animals move. Do they have a backbone, how do sea creatures move etc. here they are demonstrating how a crab, seal and starfish moves about.
S1 are learning about word equations. Here they are putting together word equations from various examples of experiments. S1/2 were looking at colour again today - they used chalk pastels to shade some 3D shapes in different colours: We had a fantastic time in broader curriculum yesterday - pupils were baking Christmas cakes and making decorations out of fondant icing: P7 were looking at using colour in art today. They were creating gradiated colour strips using chalk pastels: S1/2 are pleased to be back and are ready for a hard working term! They started looking at revolutions in history this morning. S1 have been learning about the periodic table. Their challenge was to come in dressed as an element from the table. Here they are including their teacher Mrs Offord - can you guess what element they are dressed as. P7 golf had to be cancelled today due to a road blockage. So we popped up to Kilmacolm where we did some running games and then had a lovely autumn walk along the cycle path. It poured in Largs this morning, so Chris, our instructor, set up some brilliant golf games in the sports hall. We had a lot fun! |
