Pupils in transitus and S1 were rounding off their work on Matisse by designing their own piece of digital artwork to represent the "snail". They researched different ideas first before having a go at their own creations...

There was also some time to help with the Christmas festivities which was great fun!

S2 spent the day in Glasgow with Miss Rukin! We have each taught the rest of the group about a particular building, statue or street in the city centre. It's been a really interesting day!

First stop was a little breakfast drink at Patisserie Valerie (to tie in with ouR topic on the French Revolution!;)

Isabelle told us lots of really interesting information about the Willow Tea Rooms, created by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Mrs Cranston. The lady running the tea rooms invited us in and let us the Room de Luxe, and go all the way to the original Billiard Room on the top floor!

Then, we walked down to George Square. Miss Rukin did an overview of the Square's history from its early days as an outdoor slaughterhouse, to its current use as a cultural centre for the city. Ally told us about the Cenotaph.
