We finished our bunny pictures! Don't they look great?
This aftrrnoon we had a music and movement session in class. The story was about a tiger who had lost his smile- we had to crawl, jump, stretch and hop!
Today we started some easter crafts. We did a big colouring mat, made tissue paper bunny ears and started making a pom pom chick from wool.
A very busy afternoon!
Today we wrote our very first news using our word books. It took a while but we all managed to look up our books to find the correct letter to spell the words we were looking for!
One of the groups also managed to finish the alphabet line from a-z by themselves!
We had some super things for show and tell today. A lot of children brought in some things they had bought on their trip on Monday.
Today we finished our fantastic lighthouses. We added a white stripe, a door and 2 windows. We are so pleased with these and can't wait to take them home tonight and put them in our bedrooms!
Today we were using the maths dance mat for doing numbers before and after up to 10. We also tried some subtraction which we found quite tricky!
We had a fantastic trip to the tall ship today. We met Mrs Grinling who read us the lighthouse keepers lunch book. We got to sniff different foods from the story, meet Hamish the cat and see some noisey seagulls.
We then made our own seagull puppet and had a treasure hunt around the ship looking for rats! While on the top deck we got to ring the ships bell and worked hard at scrubbing the decks.
After lunch we went to the shop to spend our money and then came back to school.
A very happy day for p1!
We've started colouring in fabtastic easter posters that we are going to work on over the next few weeks. Once they are done we will laminate them and take them home. Today we did the eggs in the nest.
