Can I remind everyone that the school is on holiday next week. We close at 3.10pm this Friday and open again at 9.00am on Monday 23rd February.
P2/3 were designing their own tartans using hot or cold colours. They researched several tartans using their iPads then made their own repeating pattern using hot or cold coloured pastels.
P3 were revising some number strategies for adding and subtracting. Here we are revising how to subtract 9.
P3 were spelling words that start and end with the "sh" sound. P2 we're learning words that have the "th" sound in them.
Further to the email sent out a few weeks ago regarding the annual Spring Concert, I'm pleased to announce that tickets are now are on sale! Tickets are £3, free for under 12's, and are available from the school.
We had a busy afternoon working on our Katie Morag topic. We discussed what an island was and what features you would find on an island. We identified features found on the Isle of Struay map, made our own dream island map, used Lego to make an island and used modelling clay to make some of the buildings found on Struay. Our 3D model of Struay is looking great.
Today P2 were working on words that have the "ch" sound in them. They played some matching games and completed their phonics workbooks. P3 were working hard at reading comprehension tasks. Everyone worked really well.
