P3 were learning to read, identify and write words with "ee" sound in them. They worked in pairs using Magnabet app to spell words that fit the pattern.

P2 were learning to read and identify the "oo" sound in words.

I have put a copy of the 100 most common spelling words into everyone's homework packets. I have highlighted any mistakes that your child made in their test on Wednesday.

For spelling homework next week please copy each highlighted word 3 times. There is no need to write sentences for these.

This is a very long and difficult task for P2/3s and mistakes are expected. All have done well.

The class really enjoyed their big spelling test today.

This afternoon we were looking at a map of Scotland and were we're looking at bridges. The children recorded what they discovered on their digital book.

On Tuesdays up to the Easter Holidays p2/3 will be going to Funworld for a gym session.

This starts tomorrow so please wear trip uniform.

After Easter we will be going every Thursday.

In class Primary 3 have been working at reading with speed. We have been trying to read our pages as fast as we can. This is to help us with fluency.

At home the children are going to try to read each page as fast as they can and then again a little bit slower.

The reading in the class has been much smoother when trying this.
