A special well done to Andrew who was representing Inverclyde Gymnastics Club in a national competition up in Perth on Sunday. Andrew preformed well in all the disciplines and scored a very impressive 9.5 out of 10 in the Vault discipline. Well done Andrew!
The children had a great day in Kilmacolm on Monday. We played in the park, had an ice-cream, played rounders, football and team games and races. The lady in the cafe commented on what polite and kind children we had. A marvellous day!
We had a great Sports Day on Friday. Well done to all who took part and a special well done to LYLE who won this year. There are more photos on the other class blogs.
On Monday the class will be going to Birkmyre Park, Kilmalcolm (weather permitting!). The children should bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. They can also bring some money to buy an ice-cream from the cafe.

A reminder that Sports day is tomorrow down in Largs. Please remember a bottle of water and a packed lunch.
The children had great fun today at Gourock Park and Battery Park. They enjoyed seeing the animals, playing on the slides and swings and on the sand. The children learned how to play rounders and had a great picnic in the sun.
On Mondays Primary 2/3 will be visiting a number of local parks to exercise and play some Big Team Games. We will also have a picnic so bring a packed lunch.
These trips obviously depend on good weather so fingers crossed! please wear trip uniform on Monday and bring a packed lunch.
Funworld Night - Thursday 4 June
I hope you are all looking forward to our celebration night this Thursday. It starts at 7pm - could you please be there for around 6:45pm to get children seated. After the concert you are welcome to stay for a 1 hour play and the cafe will be open for tea/coffee etc….
Trip uniform should be worn.
Sports Day - Friday 12 June
Our sports day is again in Largs sports centre. Buses will leave the school at 9am and return at 3pm. Children should wear trip uniform and t-shirt of their house colour (Rankin- Green. Ardgowan - red. Lyle - Blue) and bring a packed lunch with an extra drink. There are no facilities to buy lunch at the sports centre.
A winning house will be announced at the end of the day and a number of bricks allocated to them to be added to the running total for each house. At prize giving the overall winning house will be announced and all children in this house will get a day out at Xscape or the Big Adventure on Thursday 25th June.
Prize Giving - Wednesday 24 June
Prize giving starts at 1pm in Struthers Memorial Church. Formal uniform should be worn and children collected at the end. If you are unable to attend please collect your child from the church at approximately 2.30pm.
Winning House Day Out - Thursday 25 June
If your child is in the wining house they will get a day out at The Big Adventure which will include lunch. Trip uniform should be worn that day. All other children will be in school that day.
School closes at 12:00 noon on Friday 26 June.
