Time

We were working with time today. We discussed the units used to measure time and everyone discovered how long a minute actually is when they had to jump up and down for a minute!

We also looked at the analogue clock. We thought about an hour in the day and all the things we did in it. It was interesting to see how the hour hand moves depending on whether it is an o'clock, quarter past, half past or quarter to time.

Telling the time can be quite a tricky concept but we were definitely getting there with the fact that there are 5 minutes between each number on the clock. It would be great if you could work on this at home too as this will help when we look at more complex times and duration. Many thanks.
