Exploring behind the Sacré Coeur yesterday afternoon we found the Vigne Montmartre, an ancient vineyard dating from the 10th century.
The guys guessed correctly what this was from its name and we looked at the 2,000 tiny vine plants which only grow to about a couple of feet high. The vineyard still produces a small number of bottles each year.
Having had a walk around we headed back up the hill for crêpes and ice cream then back down to meet with the other groups.
Hi everyone! Mr Speirs here back in Greenock. The team are having some trouble posting photos from the hotel in Paris. I suspect they might have used up all their bandwidth for the day already!
The team are going to email photos back to me and I'll post them here as I get them.
Everyone is doing fine in Paris tonight and photo service will resume tomorrow as the Parisian bandwidth allows.
