We were learning about the population of Europeon countries today in class. We were also learning about Western, Eastern, Southern and Northern Europe.
Today in maths we were identifying number patterns and trying to complete a number sequence.

P6 are having four induction lessons in the morning, built around their normal PE time:
Period 1 - French
Period 2 - English
Period 4 - Computing
Period 5 - Art
Please wear trip uniform as they will have tennis for PE as usual.
The children were taught how to do Sudoku yesterday and they have really enjoyed trying to solve the puzzles.
Congratulations to Dhillon, Owen and Samuel who worked out the problem first.
The class continued with their Europe topic this afternoon. We looked at the population of Europe and the countries the make it up. We had a very good discussion about censuses to.
Well done to Joel for being awarded this certificate from his football club and to Niamh for winning these medals at a swimming competition in Dunfries and Galloway.
The class will have tennis lessons tomorrow at Ardgowan Tennis club. Dress appropriately for poor weather (the kids will be used to it after last week!).
On Wednesday the children will have PE in the Sports Centre.
Well that's us all back safely from our outstanding trip to Compass Outdoor Centre. The weather was exciting and added to the enjoyment of the trip. The children were wonderfully well behaved and we had a great time. The Compass Trip Blog should now be up and running so please check out the photos and videos and leave any comments.
