Senior pupils were busily and productively engaged in a wide range of design tasks this morning:
Melissa and Barbara in S5 took a trip to the Cotton Print Factory in Glasgow to choose some fabrics for their design projects. It was very successful and great fun! (Image: Claude Truong-Ngoc / Wikimedia Commons - cc-by-sa-3.0)
S3 have been learning about inheritance and meiosis. Here they are making baby Reebops based on the characteristics they inherited from their parents! Many thanks to Jacqueline for a delicious Burns lunch yesterday - it was fantastic and enjoyed by all!
S5/6 have been presenting an aspect of Scotland before 1914. We have examined culture, Balmoralism, the textile and shipbuilding industries, relations between Scotland and England, the economy, the rise of the Labour Party, the popularity of the Liberals, and the role of Scotland of the empire. Each pupil had worked hard and had various interesting thoughts on the aspect they had examined. Higher historians are working hard. Today, they are preparing presentations on an aspect of life in Scotland on 1914. |
