On behalf of Mrs Scorthorne, could I remind parents of S3 children that they NEED to complete & return the DTP/MenC vaccination forms that were handed out to S3 pupils on 5 Feb...School Health are scheduled to administer the vac's on Friday 13 March & need the forms in advance.

S3 are studying respiration. Here they are investigating how temperature effects the respiration rate of maggots. They used coloured maggots to make them more attractive to look at!

S3 finished their solo talks today. Everyone spoke well, and we had talks on topics as diverse as Monaco, Blackpool, London and Florida. Well done to all who took part.

S3 English Solo Talks

Today in S3 English, we did a round of solo talks. These were all very good, on interesting topics ranging from Dubai to North Korea, taking in America, Belgium and the Lake District on the way. All the pupils spoke confidently, and are good communicators. Well done S3 :)

Drama students, S4 and S6 pupils enjoyed an excellent visit to the Theatre Royal in Glasgow to see a super production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. Everyone really enjoyed it!

Further to the email sent out a few weeks ago regarding the annual Spring Concert, I'm pleased to announce that tickets are now are on sale! Tickets are £3, free for under 12's, and are available from the school.
