S3 pupils began working on their design ideas this morning.

Aimee is looking at the using paper and old book pages to create a dress. She was experimenting with weaving and pleating paper:

Mitchell is working on a rainforest themed mask / headpiece. He collected a selection of leaves to use and varnished them with PVA:

S5/6 historians are studying the journey to democracy in 19th Century Britain. This morning they are revising the 1867 Reform Act and asking whether it was really a leap in to the dark or a well orchestrated political manoeuvre.

S3/4 artists started on their design topic this week. We discussed the design brief, process and constraints as well looking at lots of examples of design folios.

Pupils then started investigating and researching a variety of themes for their projects.
