Some of the candidates for head boy and head girl spoke to the younger year groups in assembly today:
The S4 physics pupils are nearing the end of the first unit of the course. This week we are studying projectile motion, making use of a number of excellent online resources to consolidate and check our learning. Next week we will move on to the topic of 'Space'.
Any pupils who are coming to the Open Day that are P4 and above should come in full school uniform. Thank you. S3 are studying cell division by putting together mitosis movies. Here are the first two off the cutting floor! They were super even though they got their centromeres and centrioles confused - happens to us all! Well done S3 directors! S4 are studying the ecosystem. Today they visited the Greenock cut and tried their hand at quadrats, pH, light and moisture meters. Ruaraidh and Cameron enjoyed a recent visit to the MacLean museum. They prepared keynotes on a ship that they each found very interesting. Cameron told us about HMS Lookout. Ruaraidh spoke to us about the 'Grampus.' |
