P4-S6 took part in the National Remembrance Assembly high was shown live online from the Tower of London. We joined thousands of school pupils across the UK who watched the collection of interviews, poems and songs. We joined the nation in standing for the playing of Last Post and then finished our assembly by singing our own song of remembrance 'Greater Love.'
We will remember them.
A few months ago a note was given to all pupils to pass on to parents advising that there is an issue with emails from the school firstname.lastname@example.org and Hotmail accounts. Depending on the content of the emails sent from info@cedars, Hotmail is largely treating these as junk. This means that those parents with Hotmail accounts are not seeing many of the emails from the school which contain information concerning trips, parents evenings, events etc. The school is currently working with Hotmail to resolve this issue. In the meantime, please can parents with Hotmail accounts apply the suggested workaround of adding the email@example.com to their contacts. As soon as we hear back from Hotmail regarding a resolution, we will let you know.
Pupils in S2 and S3 enjoyed a great trip to the Theatre Royal yesterday. They had a backstage tour followed by lunch in Glasgow. They then they saw a performance of Agatha Christie's 'Black Coffee'.
S4 have established the key moments in the Munich Putsch. Now they are each working on writing tweets as a response to each key moment. Each pupil has chosen a key figure and is tweeting in character!
