Drama students were practising their make up skills again today:
We are delighted to let you know that our art exhibition at the Beacon arts centre will be extended until Saturday 20th February. We hope you can visit during the holiday week!
Professional make up artist Alana Pignatiello came into school this week to teach the drama students how to apply 'mouse' character make up. It was great fun and the results looked great! Pupils worked in pairs with one as the artist and one as the mouse. They will swap over on Friday so everyone gets a chance to practise.
Isabel in S3 completed this painting on a baking theme and Eden in S4 completed the coloured pencil drawing of lollies.
S3/4 dramatists have been rehearsing for their final performance piece called "Can You Hear the Music?" in which they all take on the roles of mice. They stopped for a rest on the way over to rehearse...
Just to let parents know that there will be a double page spread in the Greenock Telegraph on Monday or Tuesday next week about the art exhibition. It will feature lots of pictures of the pupils' art and design work that is on show.
S3 - S5 have all enjoyed visiting the Beacon to see our Art Exhibition. The Greenock Telegraph came down yesterday to take some photos too and an article should be in the paper either on Friday or early next week.
Drama students have been looking at costumes, set and props for some upcoming plays they will be performing:
Ally completed this pencil drawing and Sophie, Isabelle and Ben are all hard at work on their paintings.
Our Art Exhibition is now open at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock and it is looking great. There is a wide range of traditional and digital artwork from all pupils in the school from P1-S5 as well as some dress and hat designs by senior pupils.
The exhibition is free and everyone is welcome to drop by for a look around. |
